Infant Room Teacher & Floater
Position: Infant Room/ Floater
Schedule: Monday–Friday, plus every other weekend (Saturday or Sunday), 8:00 AM–4:00pm or 4pm-9PM
Position Summary
The Infant Room Floater supports the infant classroom by assisting the lead and assistant teachers with the daily care, supervision, and development of infants. This position helps maintain a safe, clean, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment while providing dependable support to classroom staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and loving care to infants throughout the day.
- Assist with feeding, diapering, naps, and other daily routines.
- Maintain active supervision of all children at all times.
- Assist teachers with classroom activities, learning experiences, and transitions.
- Help prepare bottles, meals, classroom materials, and supplies as needed.
- Follow proper sanitation, cleaning, and health and safety procedures.
- Assist with maintaining a clean and organized infant classroom.
- Support age-appropriate activities that encourage infants' social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development.
- Communicate appropriately with teachers, administrators, and families.
- Follow all center policies, licensing requirements, and classroom procedures.
- Assist other classrooms when needed while maintaining infant classroom responsibilities.
- Complete required training and participate in staff meetings as assigned.
- Provide reliable coverage for scheduled shifts, including the required every-other-weekend rotation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous childcare or infant-care experience preferred.
- Must be dependable, patient, nurturing, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Must be able to pass required background checks and meet applicable childcare licensing requirements.
- Ability to safely lift and carry infants and perform physical duties required in an infant classroom.
Schedule
Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Every other weekend: Saturday OR Sunday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
