Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and drinks.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, with a focus on presentation and guest preferences.
• Upsell menu items by recommending specials, wine pairings, or premium spirits to enhance the guest experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, adhering to food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures.
• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately while managing cash handling responsibilities with integrity.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and delivered promptly in a fine dining or casual setting.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with a strong foundation in customer service excellence.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient sales processing.
• Knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation techniques.
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining high-quality service standards.
• Strong communication skills to engage guests positively and handle special requests or concerns confidently.
• Basic math skills for accurate bill calculation, change handling, and sales transactions processing.
• Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge is a plus for understanding food preparation and presentation standards.
