Job Overview
Little Light Speech Therapy is seeking a reliable, organized, and proactive Clinic Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of a busy pediatric speech therapy practice. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of administrative tasks, organization, and hands-on support within a clinic setting.
This is not a traditional front desk role. We are looking for someone who can step in wherever needed—helping manage communication, maintain the clinic space, and support overall workflow. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable managing a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
We are seeking a long-term team member for a permanent position. Applicants should be available beyond the summer months, as this is not a temporary or seasonal role.
Responsibilities
Administrative Support:
- Respond to calls, texts, and emails from families in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming appointments
- Support the intake process (sending forms, tracking completion, organizing files)
- Assist with basic billing tasks and organization (training provided)
Clinic Operations:
- Clean and sanitize toys, materials, and therapy spaces throughout the day
- Reset and prepare rooms between sessions
- Organize therapy materials and maintain inventory
- Keep the clinic clean, stocked, and running efficiently
General Support:
- Assist with a variety of tasks as needed to support the clinic’s daily operations
- Maintain an organized, calm, and efficient work environment
- Demonstrate initiative and the ability to complete tasks independently
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and shift priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Comfortable working with children in a pediatric setting
- Comfortable using technology (e.g., scheduling systems, email, basic computer tasks)
- Professional and timely communication with families
- Ability to maintain confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
- Prior experience in admin, childcare, or healthcare is a plus, but not required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry light items (toys, materials, etc.)
