Little Lemons Play Cafe is a joyful space for families to connect, sip great coffee, and let little ones explore. We’re looking for friendly, responsible, and creative individuals to join our team in a dual-role position—helping serve delicious drinks while also ensuring our play area is fun and safe.

We are seeking a passionate and friendly Barista/Play Room Monitor to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a love for crafting beverages and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service in a relaxed indoor play café environment. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all adults and children.

Barista/Play Room Monitor Duties

Please note that the day-to-day needs of the company may require you to complete additional tasks not listed (but related to) those seen below.

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, matcha, drinks, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the cash register and handle customer transactions accurately using the POS system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation and equipment.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure the highest quality of service.
• Assist with food preparation as needed, including pastries and light snacks.
• Providing incredible customer service at our café counter, checking customers in, selling play passes, and educating customers about our facility and offerings
• Monitoring and engaging with children utilizing our play area
• Keeping our play area and facility clean and tidy, including light and deep cleaning
• Helping to guide and facilitate activities amongst children inside the play area
• Acting as the lead Birthday Party host on an as-needed basis, depending on your scheduling needs and desired

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or café settings is required.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Engaging and interacting with children as well as caregivers.
• Familiarity with food safety practices in a Café or play Cafe environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays if needed.

• Outgoing, dependable, and love working with both kids and coffee
• Able to multitask and stay calm in a busy, kid-filled environment
• Comfortable making drinks (or willing to learn—we provide training!)
• Enjoy engaging with parents and caregivers in a positive way
• Can lift up to 30 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
