YOUR LIFE AS A PRESCHOOL / DAYCARE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

This childcare management position works 8-hour shifts Monday - Friday, 8 am-5 pm with an undaid 1-hour lunch.

As a Preschool / Daycare Assistant Director, you play an essential role in our early childhood learning center. You are the friendly face that greets our patrons and the warm voice they hear on the phone when they call. As a go-to person within the center, your day is never dull. Whether you're enrolling new children, transitioning those moving to a new area, or assisting with a problem in childcare, you keep your finger on the pulse of the center.

Conscientious about guidelines, you assist with staff scheduling to ensure the proper ratio of children to teachers, and you check in on our teachers to see that they are adhering to DCFS requirements. Encouraging in your approach, you help train new employees and inspire them to do their best for the children we serve. In short, you are the glue that holds our early childhood learning center together. As you jump in to help wherever you're needed, your days are full of the laughter and fun that children bring. You have a passion for helping them learn and grow, which is why you can't wait to get to work every day!

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• 21 years old or older
• Associate degree in child development, early childhood education, or the equivalent
• 2 years of child development experience in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed daycare center
