Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support lead teachers in delivering high-quality education and care to children in a nurturing environment. Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to children's developmental stages.
- Support children in their learning experiences, focusing on literacy, math, and other core subjects.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that accommodates children with diverse needs, including those with special education requirements or disabilities.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting positive interactions among students.
- Engage in curriculum development and adapt materials to meet the needs of all learners, including those with autism or other developmental challenges.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom setting, ensuring all materials are accessible and well-kept.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress and classroom activities.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of early childhood education.
Skills
- Strong background in early childhood education, including knowledge of childhood development principles.
- Experience working with children in various settings such as daycare, private schools, or preschool environments.
- Proficiency in lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies to support children’s emotional and social growth.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience with literacy education, math instruction, and general teaching methodologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being adaptable to individual student needs.
