Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our educational Christ centered team in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of childhood development. This role involves assisting teachers in delivering lessons, managing classroom behavior, and providing individualized support to students, including those with special needs.
Duties
- Assist the lead teacher in preparing and delivering instructional materials.
- Support classroom management by implementing behavior management strategies.
- Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students as needed.
- Help supervise students during classroom activities, recess, and transitions.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with teachers to assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Engage in activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Support children with special education needs by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.
- Assisting with potty training, diaper changes, feeding and light cleaning
Requirements
- Experience working with infants and toddlers is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- CPR and First Aid certification is required.
- Must pass Central Backround Check
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with educators and parents.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively and compassionately.
- Experience in infant care, Preschool, daycare or nannying is an advantage.
- A genuine passion for educating and nurturing young minds.
