Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development for toddlers
- Support daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor play to ensure comfort and safety
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation and social interaction among children
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards
- Engage with children through play, storytelling, music, and educational activities that stimulate learning and creativity
- Observe and document individual progress and developmental milestones for each child
- Communicate effectively with parents and team members to share updates on children’s growth and needs
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in settings such as daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting or similar roles
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Certification or training in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, compassion, and enthusiasm for teaching toddlers
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Commitment to creating an inclusive environment that supports diverse learning needs
