We’re a DBE Contractor, and our team regularly works on Prevailing Wage projects, which gives employees an average additional $7-12$ an hour in their yearly hourly pay.
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Asphalt Screed Operator with 3 years of hands-on operating an asphalt screed. This position requires someone who is competent and comfortable working on city streets and parking lots, with a strong focus on ADA-compliant paving. There is potential for this position to grow into a Foreman/Leadman role for the right individual, offering career advancement and leadership opportunities within the company.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Prevailing Wage Jobs: As a DBE contractor we do a large variety of prevailing wage jobs where pay ranges from $50 to $70 per hour for Prevailing Wage jobs
- Guaranteed Annual Salary: Along with hourly pay we will give a minimum guarantee

Responsibilities:
- Operate the asphalt screed to ensure proper material distribution and smooth pavement
- Ensure the paved surface meets ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) specifications and guidelines
- Maintain high standards of safety and quality on every job site
- Work collaboratively with a crew to complete projects on time and within specifications
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on the equipment to ensure it is in safe, working condition
- Ensure that asphalt is evenly distributed, and the finished product meets project specifications
- Help train and guide junior crew members as you develop leadership skills for potential advancement
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of asphalt equipment experience, specifically with screed operation on streets and parking lots
- Knowledge of paving techniques, safety regulations, and equipment maintenance
- Ability to operate heavy machinery in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively on job sites
- Potential to take on a Foreman/Leadman role with leadership responsibilities (for the right candidate)
- Valid driver’s license (preferred but not required)
