Responsibilities
- Employ a variety of educational techniques to teach students following a monthly theme and curriculum.
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem.
- Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional disagreement, building life skills and social skills needed for elementary school.
- Track students’ progress and routinely communicate with parents utilizing our parent communication software.
- Collaborate with colleagues and co-teachers in the best interests of students and our school.
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.
- Maintain and comply with school policies and state licensing requirements.
Skills
- Prior experience as a Preschool Teacher is preferred but not required.
- Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods, or willingness to learn and implement.
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms.
- Excellent communication and instructional skills.
- Must clear Livescan background check.
- CPR, health screening, and mandatory reporter training to be completed after hire.
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
