Little Inspirations Childcare Center is dedicated to child development and is seeking a qualified, enthusiastic and extremely professional Co-Assistant Director committed to the child development field to join our team. In being a Co-Assistant Director with Little Inspirations, you will be entrusted with a wide range of responsibilities that are essential to the smooth operation of the Center, as well as the educational development of our children while promoting the positive image of the company. Primary job responsibilities will be in a co-teacher role in classrooms assessing classrooms and enhancing curriculum, combined with out of classroom time assisting the Director.
This position will be working with the management team on projects as well as day to day operations assisting teachers in classrooms. The position requires excellent leadership, organizational, and both written and verbal communication skills with parents, teachers and children. Must have the flexibility to work 40 hours per week between the hours of 6:15 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday with normal shifts being 7:00 am to 5:30 pm 4 days per week. Salary is contingent on your qualifications and your experience being an exceptional teacher / leader and the ability to learn and promote the ways and policies of the center.
Qualified applicants must have an Associate's degree in Early Childhood or a higher child-related degree, and a minimum of 3 years' experience teaching in a group childcare center or in a leadership role in group childcare. Knowledge of licensing rules and regulations is an imperative requirement as well as the ability to provide exceptional customer service. Must be able to perform normal job duties including lifting up to 50 lbs. Experience with Pyramid Model practices, WMELS, and ITERS/ECERS preferred but willing to train the right person.
