Responsibilities
- Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for toddlers
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence
- Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to ensure a safe and respectful space
- Collaborate with families to share progress updates, discuss developmental milestones, and address individual needs or concerns
- Maintain accurate records of children’s development, attendance, and daily activities in compliance with licensing standards
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of childhood development principles specific to toddlers
- Proven experience in classroom management and lesson planning for early learners
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to implement behavior management strategies that promote positive social interaction
- Experience working with children in daycare or preschool setting
- Excellent classroom experience with toddler care routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and safety protocols
