Toddler or Preschool Teacher
Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate, caring, and dependable Toddler or Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children, values creating meaningful learning experiences, and is interested in growing professionally in the field of early childhood education.
Our teachers work collaboratively as a classroom team to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn through play, exploration, and age-appropriate activities. This position involves partnering with your co-teacher to plan lessons, support children's daily routines, maintain an organized classroom, and build positive relationships with families.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with your co-teacher to plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
* Work together to create a warm, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and independence.
* Share responsibility for supervising children throughout the day while ensuring their health, safety, and well-being.
* Partner with your co-teacher to provide daily care, including diapering, toileting, handwashing, meals, naps, and other classroom routines as needed.
* Communicate professionally with families about their child's daily activities, milestones, and classroom experiences.
* Work as a team to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom that meets health and licensing standards.
* Support children with varying developmental needs by providing individualized encouragement and guidance.
* Collaborate with fellow teachers and administrators to develop curriculum, share ideas, and create a positive, supportive learning environment.
* Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training opportunities.
Qualifications
* Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children is preferred.
* CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework,
* Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Patient, energetic, dependable, and collaborative.
* Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day.
* CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
