Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated District PreK Assistant Teacher to join our nurturing educational environment. The Preschool Teacher will work closely with children aged 3 to 5 years, guiding their growth in various areas including social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
- Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas.
- Provide individualized support to children with special needs or disabilities.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that respects diversity.
- Organize activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development through play.
- Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom space conducive to learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required.
- Minimum Associate degree in Early Childhood Education required
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles.
- Experience in curriculum development tailored for preschool-aged children.
- Familiarity with special education practices and working with children with disabilities is a plus.
- Previous experience in private school settings or daycare environments is advantageous.
- Knowledge of basic math concepts suitable for preschoolers is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to create a nurturing environment that supports diverse learning needs.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for teaching young children.
