Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that encourage exploration, creativity, and developmental milestones for infants and toddlers
- Provide attentive care that meets each child's physical needs, including feeding, diapering, and comforting
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to promote social skills, sharing, and emotional regulation
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by adhering to health and safety standards, including first aid procedures
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about each child's progress, milestones, and any concerns
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and collaborating with specialists as needed
- Manage classroom routines efficiently to ensure smooth transitions between activities while encouraging independence
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles specific to infants and toddlers is essential
- Experience with special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Demonstrated ability in classroom management and behavior guidance techniques
- Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable; ongoing training in early childhood education is advantageous
- Familiarity with caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting that involve nurturing young children will be considered beneficial
