Responsibilities
- Provide attentive childcare for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, social skills, and physical development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment following health and safety regulations
- Support children with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns
- Apply behavior management techniques to encourage positive interactions and emotional regulation
- Assist with classroom or daycare activities that foster childhood development and early education principles
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or classroom settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education practices and childhood development milestones
- Certification in first aid and CPR required or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Strong understanding of toddler care and infant care routines
- Ability to manage behavior effectively while demonstrating patience and empathy
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with families and team members effectively
