Responsibilities
- Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating environment conducive to learning and play
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and needs
- Follow all mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being
- Apply child development instruction techniques to support individual growth milestones
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a strong plus
- Certification in first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, or related safety training is required or highly desirable
- Classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively
- Experience in toddler care, infant care, or nannying demonstrates valuable hands-on expertise
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child supervision standards is essential
