Assistant Director – Early Childhood Program
Loving Hearts Learning Center in Paxton, MA is seeking a qualified and experienced Assistant Director to provide leadership and operational oversight.
This is a leadership opportunity for a strong, organized, and EEC-certified professional who can confidently step into an established, fully staffed program and maintain compliance, structure, and team support.

About Our Program
Loving Hearts Learning Center offers a full creative play-based curriculum utilizing Brightwheel Experience Curriculum. Our program is structured, organized, and fully staffed with strong systems in place. We pride ourselves on professionalism, teamwork, and maintaining high standards in both care and compliance.
Position Responsibilities
The Assistant Director will:
- Assist Director overseeing daily center operations stepping in as needed for Director.
- Ensure compliance with all Massachusetts EEC regulations (606 CMR 7.00)
- Supervise and support teaching staff
- Maintain licensing documentation and required paperwork
- Monitor curriculum implementation and classroom planning
- Support Brightwheel documentation and parent communication
- Ensure health, safety, and ratio compliance at all times
- Partner with administration to maintain enrollment, engagement, and program standards
- Cultivate positive relationships with families, staff, and licensing authorities

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 25 years old or over 3 years as an assistant director
- EEC Director 1 certified and can provide a copy of your certification
- Must have 1 year of experience in administration
- willingness to work within business hours
- Previous experience as an assistant director or director preferred but willing to train the right candidate. Must be at least lead teacher,
- Complete all required paperwork required by EEC: 12 Essentials Training, Professional Qualifications number, up to date physical and immunizations with 2 MMR results or TEATS
- First Aide & CPR Certified
