About the Position
Little Hearts of Clinton Daycare Center, LLC is looking for a dependable, caring, and flexible Substitute Assistant Teacher to join our team! This position is perfect for someone who has experience working with children in a licensed childcare center or school and wants a job that works around their personal schedule.

You can choose the availability that works best for you, and we will contact you when coverage is needed based on your availability and our staffing needs.

Responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers with daily classroom activities and routines.
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for all children.
- Supervise children and maintain appropriate classroom ratios at all times.
- Help with meals, snacks, diapering, toileting, handwashing, and other daily care routines.
- Support children’s learning and development through play, activities, and positive interactions.
- Assist with classroom setup, cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining an organized environment.
- Follow all center policies, procedures, and Illinois childcare licensing requirements.
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with staff and families.
- Step into different classrooms and assist with various age groups as needed.
Requirements
- Previous work experience in a licensed childcare center or school is required.
- Must enjoy working with children and have a caring, patient, and positive attitude.
- Must be dependable, responsible, and comfortable working as part of a team.
- Must be willing to follow classroom routines, safety procedures, and center policies.
- Must meet applicable Illinois DCFS background check, health, and employment requirements.
- Must be willing to complete required trainings and paperwork.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Early childhood education coursework or credentials are a plus.
- Must be willing to pass and wait for the return of a background check form DCFS ( Up to 45 days )
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
