The Director of Nursing (DON) is a Registered Nurse who is responsible for the overall direction of home health clinical services. The DON will have overall responsibility for the quality, adequacy of services provided and supervision of staff that provide clinical services.

We identify the need and procure the funding necessary to provide low-income, frail, isolated elderly persons with quality social, nutrition, and health services allowing them to continue to live at home, albeit with some assistance and to avoid early, costlier institutionalization. Our services are all provided to aid the rapidly increasing elderly population with essential services in a loving and sensitive manner. We are a tax-exempt, charitable non-profit corporation that is funded through government grants and private donations.

Overall Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and lead all personnel operations (admin staff, CNAs and HHAs)
- Develop short and long-term goals for the entire nursing department
- Establish new policies and update existing policies to improve the standard of care for patients
- Plan and oversee admission, nursing, and patient care processes
- Respond to any nursing-related issues in a timely manner
- Coordinate with field staff (CNAs / HHAs) and other departments to ensure efficiency
- Oversee all record-keeping processes and ensure all necessary documents are accurate and up-to-date
- Train new nursing staff members
- Evaluate staff performance and prepare accurate reports detailing your findings
- Nursing License (Florida)
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of legal policies and regulations in the healthcare industry.
- Aptitude for problem-solving.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- 7-hour workday
