Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work directly with children with autism spectrum disorders, to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. Your passion for helping others, combined with your knowledge of behavioral therapy and ABA principles, will make a meaningful difference in clients’ lives.
Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Implement evidence-based ABA therapy protocols under supervision, ensuring consistency and fidelity to care plans.
- Support clients in managing behaviors through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques.
- Communicate regularly with clients’ families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to provide updates and collaborate on care strategies.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, progress notes, and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and professional standards.
- Participate in ongoing training related to special education, medical terminology, ethical guidelines, and the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or eligibility to obtain certification through an approved training program.
- Experience working with children or individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder or other disabilities.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and data collection methods.
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and collaboration with team members.
- Familiarity with medical records management, medical terminology, and confidentiality standards including HIPAA compliance.
