Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and process payments using Spot On POS systems.
- Prepare a variety of food items following established recipes and safety standards to ensure quality and consistency.
- Manage cash handling duties efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales transactions and cash register balancing.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, dining area, and food prep stations, including bussing tables when needed.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, or packaging to support kitchen operations during busy periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments such as grocery stores or cafés is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems like Spot On processing transactions efficiently.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, making change, and managing sales totals accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods while maintaining quality standards.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and clear communication abilities.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced environment comfortably.
