What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deli Clerk position at Little Giant Farmers Market?
The Deli Clerk is responsible for assisting customers at various areas of our Deli. This includes the following:
- Following all food safety sanitation procedures
- Preparing food for the hot bar and warmer
- Operating the rotisserie chicken oven
- Operating the smoker to prepare ribs, chicken, and boston butts
- Operating the stove, grill, dishwasher, and fryers
- Preparing party trays and special orders
- Assisting customers at the sandwich bar
- Slicing deli meats
- Slicing deli meats for grab and go
- Preparing salads and sandwiches for grab and go
- Pricing and working the scale
- Cleaning the department
- Breaking down trucks
- Organizing the cooler
- Sample products
Little Giant Farmer’s Market was founded in Riverdale, GA, in 1984 with a focus on fresh produce. The store expanded into a full-service supermarket and has been growing ever since. Little Giant is in the process of being updated with a rebrand, store remodels, new products, and a new pricing structure—to name a few.
