Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in delivering engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and early childhood education principles.
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
- Work closely with children to support their individual needs, including those with disabilities or special educational requirements such as autism or other developmental challenges.
- Help organize classroom activities, prepare learning materials, and facilitate hands-on learning experiences that promote curiosity and exploration.
- Foster social skills and emotional development by encouraging cooperation, communication skills, and respectful interactions among students.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning and play; assist with daily childcare routines such as snack time, nap time, and bathroom breaks.
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to monitor progress, share observations on child development, and support individualized learning plans.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories and early childhood education best practices, including Montessori or toddler care approaches.
- Familiarity with lesson planning, curriculum development, literacy education, math concepts, and classroom management techniques.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs such as autism; training in behavior management is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and team members.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm while working with diverse groups of children.
- Certification or coursework in early childhood education or special education is advantageous but not mandatory; a genuine passion for working with children is essential.
