Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 4-5-Year-Old Teacher Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and curriculum goals
- Support children’s learning activities in literacy, math, science, art, and social skills through engaging and interactive methods
- Help manage classroom behavior by applying positive behavior management techniques and fostering a respectful environment
- Supervise children during indoor activities, outdoor play, and snack times
- Support individualized instruction for children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism or other developmental challenges
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes safety and encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to support each child's developmental progress and address any concerns
Skills
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Knowledge of literacy education, math concepts, behavior management strategies, and Montessori or other educational philosophies
- Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities, including toddlers and children with special needs
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and colleagues
- Classroom management skills that promote positive behavior and a respectful learning environment
- Prior experience in daycare or preschool settings preferred; private school experience is a plus
- Familiarity with working with individuals with autism or disabilities is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to foster a safe, nurturing space that encourages curiosity and independence

Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour
