NC Pre-K Teacher Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a strong commitment to early childhood education and the ability to engage with children in a meaningful way.

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy education and early intervention strategies.
• Utilize behavior management techniques to maintain a positive classroom environment.
• Provide individualized tutoring support to students as needed, ensuring each child's unique learning needs are met.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Collaborate with special education staff to support children with diverse learning needs.
• Conduct assessments related to standardized testing and monitor student development.
• Foster a love for learning through creative activities, play-based learning, and hands-on experiences.
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
• Experience working with preschool-aged students in a private school setting is highly desirable.
• Strong skills in lesson planning and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet varying student needs.
• Knowledge of literacy education practices and early intervention techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Familiarity with behavior management strategies and special education practices is an asset.
• A genuine passion for teaching young children and contributing positively to their educational journey.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
