Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote infant development, including motor skills, sensory exploration, and social-emotional growth
- Provide attentive caregiving that ensures infants’ safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the day
- Monitor and document each child's developmental progress, communicating regularly with parents and guardians
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that supports safe infant care and facilitates learning activities
- Follow all mandated reporting laws and health protocols to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Engage in classroom management strategies that foster positive behavior and social interaction among infants
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities that support early childhood education principles and individual child needs
Requirements
- Prior experience working with infants, toddlers, or young children in daycare, preschool, or nannying settings
- Knowledge of childhood development stages and effective child development instruction techniques
- Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong understanding of classroom management, behavior management, and caregiving best practices
- Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws and health/safety regulations governing childcare environments
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with families and team members
