Job Summary
Little Feet Daycare is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teacher Assistant to join our caring and energetic team. In this role, you will work closely with the lead teacher to create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children. Duties
- Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, nap time, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and positive engagement at all times.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Provide attentive care to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers including assisting with diapering, feeding, comforting, and toileting.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and staff to support a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
- Observe and report children's progress, behaviors, and any concerns to the lead teacher.
- Collaborate with the team on special themes, events, or classroom projects to enhance the learning experience.
Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish & English) – Required
- CPR/First Aid Certification – Required (or willingness to obtain promptly)
- Previous daycare or early childhood education experience required
- Strong understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate practices
- Patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic about working with young children
- Reliable, responsible, and able to maintain a positive attitude throughout the day
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow routines, take direction, and contribute to a supportive classroom environment
