Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Teacher (working with children infants to preschool) to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans that promote early childhood development, social skills, and curiosity among toddlers
- Support children with their activities, including playtime, arts and crafts, storytime, and outdoor exploration
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by following health and safety protocols, including basic first aid when necessary
- Observe and document children’s progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones to inform teaching strategies
- Engage with children in a caring manner to foster emotional security and positive behavior management
- Help with diapering, feeding, and other caregiving tasks aligned with licensing standards and best practices
- Collaborate with team members to ensure effective classroom management and smooth daily operations
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Demonstrated patience, compassion, and enthusiasm for working with toddlers
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for young children
* Hours of Operation are 7:30-5:30. Candidates hired will need to be flexible within these hours needed until 5:30 closing each day.* Summer Hours Part Time, Full Time in September*
