What you’ll do
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime, meals, and educational activities to promote social interaction and learning.
- Implement age-appropriate activities that support childhood development, including arts and crafts, storytelling, and outdoor play.
- Provide individualized care for infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety, comfort, and emotional support.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment that is conducive to learning and exploration.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child’s progress, behavior management strategies, and any concerns.
- Assist children with daily routines such as feeding, diaper changes, and nap times while promoting independence.
- Collaborate with other caregivers to create a cohesive approach to childcare that meets the needs of all children.
- Stay updated on best practices in early childhood education and participate in ongoing training opportunities.
Basic qualifications
- Experience working with children in various settings such as daycare centers, preschools, or as a nanny but not a must.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
- First aid certification or willingness to obtain certification within the first month of employment.
- Able to pass local and state background checks.
Preferred qualifications
- Background in early childhood education or related field.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs.
- Familiarity with toddler care practices and preschool experience.
