Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and share best practices.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Provide care for children with special needs or disabilities, ensuring an inclusive classroom setting.
- Utilize first aid knowledge to ensure the safety and well-being of all students during school hours.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience in babysitting, nannying, or caregiving is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices is essential.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques to support diverse learning needs.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred but not mandatory at the time of hiring; training will be provided if necessary.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and staff members.
