Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all students.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to support the development of each child.
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Assess and monitor children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as necessary.
- Incorporate activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and share best practices in teaching.
- Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness to ensure a conducive learning environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare or educational setting is essential.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Familiarity with special education strategies and working with children with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills to create an engaging learning environment.
- First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
