Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development for children in preschool, toddler care, and infant care settings
- Create a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Monitor children’s behavior using positive behavior management techniques to promote good conduct and social skills
- Provide attentive supervision during playtime, nap time, meals, and transitions to ensure safety at all times
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, needs, and milestones
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, attendance, developmental progress, and incident reports
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans aligned with childhood development standards and best practices
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying or babysitting roles is highly valued
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages
- Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure safety during emergencies
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience and empathy for diverse learning needs
- Ability to engage children through creative activities while maintaining a structured environment
- Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with children, parents, and team members
