Overview:
Little Debbie’s Second Chance Home, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team working with youth in a group home setting. The ideal candidate will be skilled in delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services, helping at-risk youth develop essential life skills and improve their behavior in a supportive and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementation of ABA Programs: Work under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve social, communication, and behavior skills for youth in the group home.
- Data Collection: Collect and maintain accurate data on each youth's progress, documenting behavioral changes and skill acquisition in accordance with treatment goals.
- Behavioral Support: Provide direct support to youth, utilizing positive reinforcement techniques and behavior modification strategies to promote desired behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Skill Development: Facilitate group and individual activities that promote emotional, social, and cognitive development, focusing on areas such as communication, problem-solving, and self-care.
- Collaboration: Actively participate in team meetings with other staff members and caregivers, sharing insights and strategies to ensure a cohesive approach to each youth’s treatment.
- Training and Support: Assist in training new staff on behavior intervention techniques and program implementation, fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Crisis Management: Be prepared to manage behavioral crises effectively and safely, employing de-escalation techniques as needed.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Must hold a current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in psychology, social work, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience working with youth in a group home or similar setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with ABA principles is a plus.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with youth and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Work Environment:
