Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Master Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive behavioral health services, crisis intervention, and support to individuals and families in need. This role involves working with diverse populations, including Foster care youth and adults, to promote well-being, stability, and community integration. The Master Social Worker will also oversee case management activities, supervise staff or interns, and collaborate with community resources to ensure clients receive the appropriate care and support.
Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ needs related to behavioral health, child welfare, addiction, and social services.
- Provide crisis intervention and crisis management to individuals experiencing urgent mental health or social issues.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that address clients’ unique circumstances and goals.
- Offer addiction counseling, motivational interviewing, and other therapeutic interventions to promote recovery and stability.
- Supervise social work staff or interns, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure quality service delivery.
- Collaborate with agencies such and programs to coordinate resources for clients.
- Assist clients with navigating complex systems including child welfare services, Medicaid, and community support programs.
- Maintain detailed documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and case files in compliance with agency policies.
- Advocate for clients’ needs within the community and connect them with relevant services such as childcare, housing assistance, or mental health resources.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and community outreach initiatives to enhance service effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent credential preferred.
- Proven experience in crisis intervention, behavioral health, addiction counseling, or child welfare settings.
- Strong skills in crisis management, motivational interviewing, and behavioral health interventions.
- Supervisory experience is highly desirable for leadership roles within the team.
- Knowledge of programs such as Section 8 housing assistance, Medicare/Medicaid policies, workforce development initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor staff and engage effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and compassion while maintaining confidentiality.
