Responsibilities
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and addressing customer concerns
- Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, kitchen equipment, and dining areas
- Follow food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure safe food handling practices
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
Skills
- Stress management to deal with high pressure environments with little time to react
- Experience in food preparation and handling within a quick service or fast food restaurant setting
- Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar point-of-sale systems
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a busy environment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage customers positively
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Previous experience in the culinary field or restaurant environment is preferred but not required
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated
