Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register accurately during retail sales transactions, including cash handling and balancing the cash drawer at shift end
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product information and demos
• Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales opportunities
• Maintain knowledge of store products and merchandising standards to assist customers effectively
• Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the sales floor is clean and inviting
• Use POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for transactions and inventory management
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or customer calls
• Assist in product demos to educate customers about features and benefits of items
• Support supervising team members when needed by providing guidance on cashier procedures and customer service standards

Experience

• Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Bilingual skills are a plus to serve a diverse customer base effectively
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and cash drawer handling is advantageous
• Experience in supervising or leading team members is a bonus but not mandatory
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising practices, and upselling techniques will support success in this role
