Job Summary
The Floater Teacher provides support across multiple classrooms and age groups, assisting lead teachers, covering staff absences, and maintaining a safe, engaging, and positive environment for children.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist teachers with classroom activities, lessons, and routines.
- Provide direct supervision and care to children of varying age groups.
- Step in as the lead teacher when needed, ensuring classroom continuity.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment.
- Support social, emotional, and academic development through positive interactions.
- Collaborate with staff and administration to uphold program goals and standards.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred).
- Experience working with children in a classroom, childcare, or educational setting.
- Flexibility to work with multiple age groups and adapt to different classroom environments.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to meet state licensing requirements for childcare staff.
