What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher: 2 year old Toddlers classroom Experience Required position at Little Building Blocks?
We are looking for a caring and experienced 2-Year-Old Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have more than two years of experience working with toddlers in a licensed early childhood center, with a strong understanding of child development and effective potty training strategies. This individual should be patient, nurturing, and passionate about helping young children build confidence and independence during this key developmental stage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities that support cognitive, physical, emotional, and social development in toddlers.
- Support and guide children through the potty training process with consistency and encouragement.
- Establish a warm, engaging, and safe classroom environment where children feel secure and valued.
- Use Conscious Discipline and other positive guidance techniques to manage behavior and support emotional growth.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom in compliance with licensing and health regulations.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child’s progress, routines, and milestones.
- Work collaboratively with team members and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with toddlers in an early childhood education setting.
- Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA.
- Strong knowledge of toddler development and age-appropriate teaching practices.
- Experience with potty training and supporting self-help skills in young children.
- Familiarity with Frog Street Curriculum and Conscious Discipline is a plus.
- Reliable, compassionate, and enjoys working with young children in a classroom environment.
Work Hours:
- Monday – Friday,
- 8:30 am - 5:30 pm window.
- Occasional evening or weekend events as needed.
