Baker/Prep Cook

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Baker/Prep Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality baked goods and assisting with food production in a fast-paced environment. Duties

• Prepare baked goods such as cakes, pastries, bread, and other confections following established recipes and standards
• Assist in food production by preparing ingredients, assembling items, and ensuring timely completion of orders
• Decorate cakes and pastries
• Operate kitchen equipment including mixers, ovens, slicers, and other baking tools safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation standards
• Package baked goods for retail sale or catering purposes while ensuring quality control
• Support high-volume production needs during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks

Requirements

• 1 Year experience in food preparation, baking, or pastry making within a commercial kitchen or bakery environment
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper handling of baked goods and ingredients
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in product quality
• Excellent attention to detail in cake decorating and food presentation techniques
• Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and portioning products accurately
• Customer service experience is a plus, especially when interacting with clients or catering events
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• High-volume production experience is preferred to meet demand during peak times

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
