Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy education, math, and early childhood development activities.
- Support classroom management by fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children of different ages and abilities.
- Provide individualized attention to children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities, ensuring they receive appropriate support and encouragement.
- Help organize classroom materials, prepare learning centers, and facilitate activities that promote social-emotional growth and cognitive development.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meal times, nap times, and transitions to ensure safety and positive behavior management.
- Collaborate with team members to develop curriculum enhancements that incorporate Montessori or other specialized teaching methods.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children’s progress and behavioral observations to foster strong partnerships.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in early childhood education settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, including working with toddlers, preschoolers, and individuals with special needs.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with children, parents, and team members.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or disabilities is a plus.
- Ability to adapt quickly as a floater across different classrooms while maintaining consistency in care and instruction.
