Duties
- Provide attentive, loving care to infants, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being at all times
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development in infants
- Monitor infants’ health and development milestones, communicating any concerns to parents or guardians promptly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Follow all safety protocols including first aid procedures and emergency response plans
- Support feeding routines, diapering, nap schedules, and other daily care needs with patience and consistency
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless classroom management and caregiving routines
- Document developmental progress and daily activities to share with families regularly
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with infants in daycare, preschool, nannying or babysitting roles demonstrating strong caregiving skills
- Knowledge of childhood development principles specific to infants and toddlers
- Certification in first aid and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) required or willing to obtain upon hire
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Familiarity with early childhood education practices and classroom management techniques
- Ability to engage children through nurturing interactions while maintaining safety standards
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with families and team members effectively
