Little Bears Playhouse is looking for Teachers to join our team as we work towards opening our new location in Fall of 2026.
We are the only licensed childcare center in our town of Girdwood, AK and we take pride in our engagement with the littlest groms of our town.
Responsibilities include:
Daily care of children ages 6 months to 5 years old.
- Diapering/Toileting
- Feeding
- Assisting with dressing and self-care tasks
- Outside Play (playground, nature walks, biking, gardening, etc.).
- Art Projects
- STEM engagements
- Literacy & Language Development
- Observations & Assessments
- Family Engagement
- Cleanliness of center
- Intentional engagement with children
Pay starting at $22 per hour

We are looking to staff our school so we can provide care to the entire town of Girdwood and the surrounding valleys.
Commuting Stipends available.
