Duties
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy, math, physical activity, and social-emotional skills tailored for toddlers.
- Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a stimulating environment that encourages curiosity and independence.
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to support social skills and emotional regulation among young children.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns in accordance with mandated reporting laws.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain high standards of childcare and classroom management.
- Incorporate curriculum development techniques aligned with Montessori principles or other early childhood education frameworks to enhance learning experiences.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, health protocols, and early intervention practices to promote child welfare and well-being.
Skills
- At least 6 months of experience working in an ECE environment as a caregiver, aide, or teacher.
- High School diploma of GED required.
- Extensive experience working with children in early childhood education settings, including toddler care and preschool environments.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
- Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education tailored for young learners.
- Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, and mandated reporting laws to support diverse student populations.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, staff, and community partners effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to lead classroom instruction with creativity while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.
- Experience teaching physical education activities and integrating movement into daily routines to promote healthy development.
Pay: $16.00 per hour
