Job Overview
We are seeking energetic and dedicated Swim Instructors to join our team! In this role, you will lead engaging swimming lessons for children and adults, fostering confidence and safety in the water. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire learners to develop their swimming skills while promoting water safety awareness.
Responsibilities
- Lead structured swim lessons for infants, children, and adults, tailoring instruction to individual skill levels
- Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing water safety rules and monitoring activities closely
- Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and teach essential skills such as floating, breathing, and stroke development
- Engage students with motivating coaching methods to encourage progress and enjoyment
- Maintain a clean and organized lesson environment, including pool area safety checks
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about student progress and safety considerations
- Support behavior management by fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere that promotes confidence
Experience
- Prior lifeguard experience or background in sports coaching is highly valued
- Experience teaching swimming or physical education to children or adults is preferred
- Knowledge of martial arts such as Karate, Judo, or Cheerleading can enhance instructional versatility
- Familiarity with childcare practices and working with students of diverse ages is beneficial
- Strong skills in behavior management to motivate learners and maintain a safe environment
- Background in sports like basketball or climbing can contribute to dynamic teaching approaches
- Certification in lifeguarding or related water safety training is a plus
