Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lead / Associate Float Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties

  • Provide flexible classroom coverage by stepping into different teaching environments as needed, ensuring seamless daily operations.
  • Support lead teachers with curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to diverse age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers.
  • Implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote literacy, numeracy, social-emotional skills, and physical development aligned with early childhood education standards.
  • Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment conducive to learning.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, building strong partnerships to support each child's growth.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe classroom environment by adhering to health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR protocols.
  • Support special education initiatives and early intervention strategies to meet the unique needs of all children.
  • Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and document observations related to child welfare and development.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is essential; preschool or daycare experience is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood development principles, including toddler care and preschool teaching methodologies such as Montessori or other child-centered approaches.
  • Experience developing curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and standardized testing preparations when applicable.
  • Proven ability in classroom management and behavior management techniques that foster positive learning environments.
  • Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in special education or early intervention are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with childhood development milestones, mandated reporting laws, and child welfare practices is necessary for success in this role.
