Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced preschool/toddler teacher to inspire young learners during their foundational years. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, to stimulate cognitive and social development. Following the. Reggio Emilia and project based learning approach.
- Plan and execute engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of toddlers and preschoolers, ensuring alignment with early childhood education standards
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective behavior management techniques and compassionate child welfare practices
- Support children’s emotional and social growth by encouraging communication skills, peer interaction, and self-regulation strategies
- Conduct assessments using the DRDP assessment tool.
- Manage classroom activities efficiently, maintaining organization, safety, and compliance with daycare or private school regulations
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and specialists in early intervention or special education to support individual learning plans
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, behavior logs, and lesson plans to ensure transparency and continuous improvement
- Colaborate with the teaching team to create a wholesome continuity of care experience for the children
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in preschool or toddler care with a strong understanding of childhood development principles
- MIn. 24 ECE units and an AA degree in Early childhood education.
- Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and teaching physical education
- Knowledge of Reggio Emilia, project based learing, early intervention strategies, and behaviour management techniques
- Ability to work effectively with children from diverse backgrounds while fostering an inclusive environment
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, colleagues, and community partners
- Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities efficiently while ensuring child safety and welfare
- Min. 1 year experience in preschool mixed age setting.
