Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Group Leader to oversee and guide a group of children in various activities, ensuring a safe and engaging environment. This role involves planning and implementing educational and recreational activities while providing support to both children and staff.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a group of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and physical activity.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management techniques.
- Provide support in special education needs when required, adapting activities to meet individual children's needs.
- Maintain open communication with parents, staff, and other stakeholders regarding children's progress and any concerns.
- Assist in the organization of events, camps, or outings that enhance the children's experience.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
- Foster an inclusive environment that respects diversity and encourages participation from all children.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camps, tutoring, or sports coaching is essential.
- Familiarity with childhood development principles and early childhood education practices is preferred.
- Skills in classroom management and behavior management are highly valued.
- Experience in special education or Christian counseling is a plus but not required.
- Background in theater or other creative arts can be beneficial for engaging children in various activities.
