Certified Teacher-Adult Day Program

About Us:
We are a supportive and person-centered adult day program serving individuals with brain injuries. Our team is dedicated to improving quality of life through meaningful activity, rehabilitation-focused programming, and compassionate care.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Recreational Therapist who is creative, motivated, and team-oriented to join our interdisciplinary staff. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping adults with brain injuries engage in therapeutic activities that build skills, support recovery, and enhance daily living.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, and lead therapeutic recreation activities tailored to participant needs, abilities, and goals.
• Collaborate with an Assistant Instructor to run daily programming smoothly and effectively.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and consistent documentation, including progress notes, attendance, and activity plans.
• Adapt activities for various cognitive and physical abilities.
• Support a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for all participants.
• Communicate effectively with participants, families, and team members.
• Contribute to program development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy or related field (CTRS preferred).
• Experience working with adults with brain injuries or in a rehabilitation setting strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain program thorough documentation.
• Creativity, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred but not required.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
