Reports to:  Executive Chef

Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions

• Manage kitchen staff and oversee the day-to-day operations of the deli, including food preparation and ensure that the recipes and food meets quality standards.

• Assist with organizing inventory, storage and distribution and ensuring adequate levels are maintained based on the menu and market demand.

• Oversee and ensure all  staff are properly trained and follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines in cleanliness, organization, and food preparation areas.

• Assist with  training team members and maintain standards for preparation, portion, and prestation.

• Ensure the safety operation of kitchen equipment, utensils, proper handling of heavy items, and hazardous materials.

• Organize the day’s prepping for the cook’s line setup. Including but not limited to perform as a Lead Cook. 

• All other tasks deemed necessary by Executive Chef.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook.
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
• Familiar with industry’s best practices.
• ServSafe Food Certification (preferred)
• Flexibility schedule, including weekends and holidays.

• Required to stand up to 10 hours daily.
